IT Business Analyst
Role summary
The selected IT Business Analyst will assist a large Not-for-Profit organisation to implement a Financial Management System project.
The main duties will be to define and design testing requirements, to strengthen data conversion and testing efforts, and to support rollout and prepare documentation. The selected person will be familiar with implementing an enterprise accounting product, including test processes, cutover processes and end user documentation.
The right person will be adaptable and willing to work in a not-for-profit organisation where outcomes are measured on a broad range of criteria. Teamwork and cooperative contribution is expected.
Position responsibilities
Identify test requirements, lead test plan preparation, co-ordinate test activities, administer issues log, seek resolution.
Interpret, translate and document user requirements and assist in configuring the enterprise accounting system to deliver them.
Assisting with data conversion, system and user testing and operational cutover.
Systems and end-user support for rollout activity, including developing documentation.
Working in a team environment and assisting according to capabilities and experience.
Skills required
Specific experience in working with teams implementing financial management systems.
Demonstrated success in large-scale data conversion, systems implementation and testing.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and develop clear and concise systems and end-user documentation.
Theoretical and hands-on experience of developing and implementing comprehensive system testing plans, and test cases.
Demonstrated ability to participate in test cycles, manage defects, and support user acceptance testing.
Demonstrated ability to engage, lead and co-ordinate. Some experience of project management would be useful.
Demonstrated initiative, administrative rigour, and self-discipline.
Bachelors' degree or further related studies in information systems, technology or business administration.
Since some travel will be necessary, a NSW Driver's License.
